SICOM Installs 6,500 Point-of-Sale Terminals Globally at Quick Service Restaurants

Doylestown, PA – February 8, 2017
SICOM, a leading best-of-breed provider of end-to-end solutions for quick service and fast casual restaurants, today announced that it has installed more than 6,500 Point-of-Sale (POS) terminals at Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) worldwide. Growth in 2016 was driven by the release of the new SL20 POS Terminal. This rugged POS terminal is purpose-built for the QSR market, offering reliability, an intuitive user experience, secure payment processing, complete flexibility, and data-driven software to help make proactive decisions in real-time.

SICOM POS solutions are used by some of the world’s most recognizable QSR brands. SICOM has become the system of choice for innovative operators at Burger King, Popeyes, and Jack’s.

SICOM’s PCI-compliant POS solutions provide a touch-screen interface that is easy to configure and use and offer brand-controlled user interface and business logic to uphold consistent quality standards. Built on an open architecture, the SICOM POS solutions are fully integrated with credit and gift card acceptance, an employee training program and customer loyalty features. They seamlessly handle front-of-house and back-of-house operations quickly and cost effectively – driving guest visits and sales. In addition, the SICOM POS systems offer reporting to monitor and manage sales, labor, scheduling, inventory control, and product/food analysis.

“I believe the growth in our POS systems is a direct result of our continual advancement in the technology as well as being able to offer quick service and fast casual restaurants end-to-end solutions that handle all of their operations,” said Jim Flynn, CEO of SICOM. “The POS is often the hub for managing a restaurant and having a system that integrates well with all aspects from front-of-house to back-of-house, as well as above restaurant, is a true value-add for brands, franchisees and restaurants.”

“Restaurants no longer need to work with multiple vendors to design, install and maintain their restaurant management solutions,” added Bob Doan, SVP of Research & Development at SICOM. “They can now go to one vendor for an all-encompassing solution. With tightly integrated technologies, restaurant operators can leverage POS systems to improve speed of service and kitchen management, helping to accurately forecast sales, reduce waste, and improve efficiency, productivity and profitability.”
